In response to the devastating earthquake in the Atlas Mountain region, Aman Charity Association has launched a nationwide emergency appeal, “SOS Earthquake Morocco,” to provide immediate assistance and support to the affected communities. Our efforts encompass a range of short-, medium-, and long-term projects aimed at addressing the urgent needs of those impacted by this natural disaster.
Core Achievements:
Emergency Shelter: We have swiftly mobilized resources to provide shelter to families displaced by the earthquake. To date, we have installed over 500 tents in the provinces of Haouz and Taroudant, offering temporary refuge to those in need.
Housing Solutions: Recognizing the need for more permanent housing solutions, we have initiated the installation of prefabricated houses in the Taroudant region. These structures will serve as safe and stable homes for families affected by the earthquake, providing them with a sense of security and stability during this challenging time.
Education Support: Education is paramount, even in times of crisis. To ensure that children can continue their learning journey, we have undertaken the installation of primary schools in the affected areas. Additionally, we have distributed school supplies to students, enabling them to resume their education amidst the chaos and upheaval.
Humanitarian Aid: In collaboration with local authorities and partners, we have distributed essential humanitarian aid to affected communities. This includes the provision of food baskets, tents, blankets, and clothing to families who have lost their homes and belongings in the earthquake.
Community Infrastructure: As part of our efforts to restore normalcy to the affected areas, we have facilitated the installation of mosques equipped with carpets, pallets, and sound systems. These mosques serve as not only places of worship but also community centers, offering solace and support to those grappling with the aftermath of the earthquake.
Moving Forward:
While we have made significant strides in our relief efforts, the road to recovery remains long and challenging. We are committed to standing with the people of Morocco as they rebuild their lives and communities in the wake of this disaster. With your support and generosity, we will continue to aid and support to those in need, offering hope and healing during adversity.
Together, let us extend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters in Morocco, demonstrating compassion, solidarity, and resilience in the face of adversity.
